The goal of the journal
CREBSS is the journal focused on statistical methods and techniques applications in economy, business and social statistics in a very broad meaning. Journal publishes papers dealing with the economic, business and social statistics data collection, processing, compilation, dissemination, and analysis with the organisations, regions, countries, or group of countries as possible levels of analysis. The authors from international scientific research environment are welcome. One of the goals of the journal is to discuss the current issues regarding the official statistics for data produced by official organizations (e.g. national statistical institutes, national banks, ministries, government and global organizations). However, also, applied statistical problems might be addressed as an outcome of the scientific surveys, experiments and observations in the economy, business and for social issues. The goal of the journal is to demonstrate how statistical thinking, research design and statistical analysis play an important role in the economy, business and society. Since any interesting topic and applications of statistics are welcome, there are no restrictions on subject matters. So, important applications of statistical methods in economics and finance, business and commerce, management, marketing, agriculture, industry, construction, engineering, demography, psychology, sociology, law, politics, opinion polling, government, education, biomedical and physical sciences, health and medicine, pharmaceutics, kinesiology, ecology, environment, tourism, sport, leisure, and ICT are all welcome topics.
Papers emphasising appropriate statistical thinking, current statistical concerns and challenging applied problems in multi- and cross-discipline issues, such as computational statistics, data mining and pattern recognition, simulation modelling, or related to optimization, mathematical programming, etc., resulting with new statistical approaches are of interest, too. It is expected that papers are methodologically well sounded and that real-life problems are treated, showing novel solutions. The CREBSS journal targets a very wide audience of statisticians, whether they are scientists, educators, students or professionals.
